Nueva bisagra superior "Top Pivot Reserve"

New "Top Pivot Reserve" top hinge

Pivot doors are very popular: not only do architects love to experiment with them, but they are also attracting the interest of an increasing number of designers, installers and manufacturers.

The smoothest movement of the door is achieved with premium hinges. FritsJurgens systems offer many design possibilities, adapting to all types of interiors. Always designed, developed and thoroughly tested. This is how we create premium quality products that require no maintenance. Try our new Reversed Top Hinge to discover the design possibilities with thinner door profiles and much more glass.

The show in the building

Pivot doors are much more than just doors. As a design statement, they define the space and radiate elegance with their smooth opening and closing movement. A spectacle in plain sight. In addition, pivot doors do not need jambs, which is a great advantage. In this way, the most elegant designs are created, which do full justice to the door. The bolts and the top hinge are invisible, as they are hidden in the door, in the floor and in the ceiling.

Not like others

All of our top bolts and hinges are unique and have their own qualities. This makes each of them suitable for various types of designs.

In addition to our top hinges that you know so well, the Reversed top hinge is a great addition to our collection, as this new variant disappears into the ceiling and not into the door, like our other top and bottom hinges.

Just as its name suggests: with our Reversed Top Hinge we have reversed the system. This brings important advantages and new possibilities. Like the 70mm top hinge and the top hinge with cable gland, the Reversed top hinge can be easily combined with all types of bottom hinges in our collection.

Experiment with aesthetics

For architects, the new top hinge opens up a world full of new and aesthetic door concepts. This allows the use of thinner door profiles. Normally, these are easily 50 mm high, because the upper hinge has to be hidden inside.

Now, just 20 or 25 mm will be enough, because with the Reversed top hinge, you only have to install one spindle. And as far as architects are concerned: the thinner the profile, the more elegant the design. Thanks to this gain of millimeters, you will also be able to apply new materials. Think aluminum: light and relatively easy to process. In addition, this material allows the impressive character of a pivot door to be preserved.

Creative designs

An aluminum door not only allows the door profile to be thinner, but also narrower. Since the spindle is installed shallower in the door than a top hinge, you only need a narrow strip of profile at the top of the door. This way you can use more glass in the design, which creates a more spatial effect.

In this way, the Reversed top hinge offers many possibilities for experimenting with transparent pivot doors and walls. You can still use our systems in a much more creative way: think, for example, of semicircular doors.

TP-R and the new System One

In combination with the new System One, the door frames can be even slimmer. The new One is just 18mm high, allowing for super slim door frames. Reversed Top Hinge is hidden in the top jamb or roof, so the combination of these two products allows you to design and create extra large glass openings and extra slim door frames.

Incredible ease of installation

Installers can also benefit from the new top hinge, as it is easy to adjust. Normally, after installing the top hinge, it is necessary to make small holes in the side of the door. This allows the door to be adjusted precisely with a long Allen wrench. Often after installation you have to move the door a little to the left or right.

This is also done a little differently for the Reversed top hinge. The door is simply adjusted in the center, using a much shorter Allen wrench. This saves a lot of work and also does not require any holes in the side of the door.

Generous space

Naturally, as an end user, you also benefit from the advantages of the Reversed top hinge. The narrow profile gives your door a sleek look and the minimal profile height allows for as much glass as possible in the design.

Transparency makes the room appear larger and lighter. This effect is enhanced by the extra-thin jambs, thanks to which the door floats in the air, so to speak. As with the 40mm Top Hinge, you can easily hide the screws on the Reversed Top Hinge with our cover plates. Now available in three colors: black, white and stainless steel - the perfect finishing touch.
